I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
